Who I Am

I caught the travel bug early. Growing up, my parents had an old greenish Class C motorhome, and every summer we’d hit the road across the western states to visit family and see what was around the next bend. That love for the open road never faded—it just evolved.

Later, my time in the military opened even more of the world to me. I learned that no matter where you go, people everywhere want the same simple things: connection, peace, and a good story to tell.

Why I Travel

Travel gives me freedom. It reminds me that the world is vast, strange, and beautiful. Whether it’s wandering through historic sites, taking in a sunset at sea, or seeing how another culture celebrates daily life, every experience deepens my understanding of what it means to live fully.

What You’ll Find Here

Gen X JarHead Travels is about sharing that perspective—guides, reflections, stories, and a few lessons learned from the road. I’m not here to brag about where I’ve been, but to help others feel inspired to see the world in their own way.
