Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Gen X JarHead Travels (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through genxjarheadtravels.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Information you provide directly— your name, email address, phone number, and trip details when you submit our contact form.
  • Basic technical information— standard server logs such as browser type, pages visited, and referring site, collected automatically by our hosting provider.

We do not require you to create an account to use the Site, and we do not collect payment information — trip bookings and payments are handled directly with our host travel agency and travel suppliers (airlines, cruise lines, resorts, etc.), not through this Site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your trip planning inquiry
  • Communicate with you about a trip you're booking or have booked
  • Improve the Site and the services we offer

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your contact information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to run the Site:

  • Email delivery (Resend) to send us your contact form submissions.
  • Hosting and database providers (Vercel, Neon) to run the Site and store blog content.
  • Amazon Associates— our Travel Gear page contains affiliate links to Amazon. If you click one of these links, Amazon may place a cookie on your device to track the referral; we earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not ours.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing any data they process on our behalf.

Cookies

The public Site does not use tracking or advertising cookies of its own. A functional cookie is used only for our internal admin login (not applicable to site visitors), and any cookies set by Amazon after clicking an affiliate link are controlled by Amazon.

Data Retention

We keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, assist with your trip. You can request that we delete your information at any time by contacting us using the details below.

Your Choices

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, request a correction, or request deletion, subject to any recordkeeping we're required to maintain for completed bookings.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
